Trattoria Alla Ferrata: Reviews & Ratings
This was our first night in Venice and I am glad we had our dinner here. The food was very good, reasonably priced and came out fast. I also enjoyed the atmosphere of the outside seating. It is enclosed (this is October) and has heat lamps. I would eat here again!
This is our second dinner time at Alla Ferrata. We were there 5 years before. The food is same quality. Service also friendly. Nice atmosphere at the garden area. Quite busy the day we were there in summer July 2nd 2025. I celebrated my birthday dinner there. Almost good.
To be honest, it was misleading in some sense. Upfront it was a Bacaro and inside a trattoria. Nonetheless food was decent. We had the gnocchi salmon and lobster pasta. Not much when it came to atmosphere, just a regular eatery with bright white lights. It was quiet when we went there at 7 for dinner. If u are near and need a meal, it is good enough but I probably wont go out of the way for it.
Had late lunch at Trattoria Alla Ferrata in Venice, and it was one of the most memorable meals of my trip. The pizza was incredible — rich, comforting, and cooked to perfection. The staff were genuinely kind and welcoming, bringing that real Italian warmth you can’t fake. The restaurant was lively, filled with locals and travelers sharing great food and wine. It’s the kind of place that reminds you why Italian dining is so special — not just for the food, but for the heart behind it. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a real, home-style Venetian experience.
Great first meal in Venice. The bruschetta, calamari and tagliatelle with mushrooms and shrimp in particular were excellent. The salad wasn’t anything special, but went great with out food. We thought the pizza was just average for Italy standards, but above average for US standards. Overall, a very nice meal with friendly staff!
Hossain was my server tonight and he was amazing. The food was 10/10. The pasta, the wine, the pizza the fresh ingredients from the garden to make the cocktails. Everything 10/10. Can’t wait to come return and will recommend to all my friends and coworkers!
Carbonara pizza 8/10 Taglialette w shrimp and zucchini 6.5/10 a bit too cloi and creamy for my liking Lasagna 8/10 Pasta MaMaMiYa 9/10 Vongole 8.5/10 super delicious and good portion but slightly salty! Still great though
I had the Tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms & local small shrimp & my partner had the Spaghetti Carbonara. The flavours were absolutely AMAZING. Great service, quick and polite. The white wine was the best house wine I've had here too. Would 10/10 recommend to anyone.
